2 Day Alternate Shot Open

Fall Foursomes – October 3rd and 4th

Cost:      Members            $20 for prizes

Non-members  $50 per person, includes green fee for 2 days and prizes

(Carts sold separately at member price daily rate)

Flights: Men’s; Senior Men’s, Women’s, Mixed/Couples

Men who qualify may play from the senior/gold tee markers. (Age + handicap = 80 or more)

Format: Men’s, Men’s Senior and Women’s Flights will play a true alternate shot where one player will tee off the even numbered holes and the other will tee off the odd holes and then alternate shots until the ball is holed.

The Mixed/Couples Flight will play a Pinehurst format.  This is where both players tee off and the best drive is chosen; and then alternate shots.

Teams that have one partner playing the white tees and one playing the gold/senior tees will play in the men’s flight. Those who have both partners playing from the senior tees will play in the senior flight.

Tee times will begin between 9 and 10 depending on the forecast.  Specific tee times will be assigned a couple days before the tournament.

Teams may request pairings for this event.

The VSWGA will be hosting the Vermont Women’s Mid Am at Ralph Myhre Golf Course.  Registration is now open!

August 22 and 23 Ralph Myhre Golf Course will be hosting our annual Club Championships!  This will be a fun weekend filled with friendly competition to decide who are the top golfers for 2020 in the women’s, men’s, senior and junior divisions.

Ralph Myhre Member Appreciation Day

VT PGA Junior Stroke Play

The Junior Tour is a series of 1 day competitive stroke play tournaments for junior golfers ages 10 – 17.  Events are held  weekly during June and July culminating in the Junior Tour Championship held in late July here at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

Friday July 31 we will be hosting the Vermont Junior PGA Tour Championship!  This will be a shotgun start at 9am and will continue throughout the morning.  This is an exciting event that brings along lots of parents, spectators and sometimes even the media.

Dud Phinney Member-Guest

It’s that time again, sign up is now open for our biggest tournament of the year!  The Dud Phinney Member Guest will be held this July 24 through 26.  This year we will again be going with a three day format.

Please Note:  The format and events are subject to change depending upon College and State Covid-19 regulations.  Current guidelines will prohibit the traditional post round dinners, but food stations will be set up on the course.  Breakfast will also be offered on Saturday and Sunday.

18 hole qualifying round to be followed by 9 hole rounds of match play within flights.

Complimentary practice round on any day the week before tournament

 

Friday, July 24 – 18 hole qualifying

Entry Fee: $250.00 per team

Carts may be reserved at a 20% discount if paid at the time of registration.  Simply add the rental amount to your entry fee.  For all three days: One rider: $48.00 Two riders $96.00

VSWGA Ladies’ State Day

Vermont State Women’s Golf Association State Days are “mini” one day tournaments held on various days throughout the state during the summer.  State Days are an inexpensive, fun way to play golf at different courses around the state while participating in low-key friendly competition.

Ralph Myhre will be hosting our annual women’s state day Tuesday July 14.
